KLARA I ROSA
Subotica, Serbia
Klara i Rosa is the first independent civic cultural center in Subotica, Serbia, a city shaped by complex Balkan, Austro-Hungarian, and Yugoslav legacies. Founded in 2014 by a sculptor, an actress, and a philologist, the organization uses artistic tools to foster dialogue, participation, and empathy across cultural, national, and generational lines.
Klara i Rosa produce, host, and facilitate more than 20 public programs each month, including discussions, exhibitions, performances, and workshops held in multiple languages.
Its mission is to create inclusive and reflective spaces that nurture civic spirit, intercultural understanding, and a sense of belonging in a divided society.
