KLARA I ROSA
Subotica, Serbia
Klara i Rosa is the first independent civic cultural center in Subotica, Serbia – a city shaped by complex Balkan, Austro-Hungarian, and Yugoslav legacies. Founded in 2014 by an actress and a sculptor, we use artistic tools to foster dialogue, participation, and empathy across cultural, national, and generational lines. We produce over 20 monthly public programs – including discussions, exhibitions, performances, and workshops – in multiple languages. Our mission is to create inclusive, reflective spaces that nurture civic spirit, intercultural understanding, and belonging in a divided society.
