Founded in 1980, CEKATE is a polyvalent centre which equally functions as a local centre (a socio-cultural centre) in the city’s North and South Trešnjevka neighbourhood, but also gives great importance to encouraging cultural and artistic creation. We organize theatrical, musical, entertainment and other cultural and artistic events as well as major music, dance and inclusivity festivals. You can find at our Centre debates, seminars, courses, workshops , extracurricular activities for children and young people, gallery activity, public display of audiovisual works, workshops in the field of ecology, foreign language lessons, workshops in the field of informatics and new media. Most importantly we listen to our local community and create programs with them and for them.
