IG Kultur Austria
IG Kultur Österreich is the association of independent cultural initiatives in Austria. Focusing on contemporary cultural expressions and community-driven initiatives, the organisation's main goal is to improve the working conditions of those working in the field of contemporary arts and culture – from professionals to volunteers. IG Kultur represents over 1.000 cultural initiatives all over Austria.
Its main activities are:
• Pursuing advocacy activities, pushing for legislative improvements and measures to create an enabling environment for cultural work.
• Providing hands-on advice as well as workshops and trainings to strengthen the professional development.
• Engaging in public discourse through public relations, a monthly radio show, an annual magazine, dedicated websites and social media channels.
