Réseau luxembourgeois des Centres Culturels Régionaux

Network of the Reginal Cultural Centres of Luxembourg

Luxembourg

The Réseau Luxembourgeois des Centres Culturels Régionaux (commonly called “Réseau”) is the network organisation for decentralized cultural centres in the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg. Founded in 2008, the network is a non-profit association with 10 decentralized (which means outside Luxembourg-City) cultural centres as members. Even though the members differ a lot when it comes to size and facilities, they all are locally embedded and have an important regional influence. The common objective is to ensure a "basic cultural supply" of the population in decentralized areas (= proximity), which includes a diversified program with specialized offers in various artistic areas. All member-centres have in common that they are subsidized by their respective municipalities and by the Ministry of Culture. The “Réseau” has the following missions: Representing and advocating for the common interests of its members — Interfacing with authorities, media and other non-profit organisations — Connecting and coordinating between its members, particularly in terms of programming and communication — Supporting for regional cultural development in coherence with national, interregional and European levels — Stimulating and inspiring collaborations, synergies and joint activities — Researching and developing of new audiences — Positioning decentralized regional cultural centres in their socio-cultural context — Supporting the professionalization of the sector —Reflecting on the development and prospects of work in the sector. All its activities are financed by its members and by the Ministry of Culture (since 2019). Last but not least, one of their member is part of the Belgian Federation of Humor Professionals.
