Blue Door Education operates as a beacon of hope for refugees, offering comprehensive literacy classes tailored to their unique needs. Our project embodies the foundations of inclusivity by providing a supportive learning environment where refugees can acquire essential reading, writing, and language skills crucial for their integration into new communities, in this case Malta.

Our operations begin with meticulous needs assessments, ensuring that our curriculum addresses the specific challenges faced by refugees. We employ culturally sensitive teaching methods, recognising the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our students. Through personalised instruction, we cater to different learning styles and levels of proficiency, empowering each refugee to reach their full potential. Central to our approach is the dedication of our volunteer teachers, who come with great knowledge and experience and with a thirst to give back to their community by supporting refugee learners.

They not only impart literacy skills but also serve as mentors and advocates, fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment among our students. In addition to literacy instruction, we provide holistic support services, including access to resources, referrals to community agencies, and guidance on navigating various challenges encountered during resettlement. By addressing the multifaceted needs of refugees, we aim to break down barriers and facilitate their successful integration into society.
